Toto is an irrepressible burst of color and light. Its silhouette is that of an archetypal lamp, all-angled shade and a chunky base. But that is where the familiarity ends. Toto is entirely covered from textile as a playful extension of the classic lampshade itself. Material uniformity, coupled with vivid color and graphic pattern, lends the lamp a cartoonish presence. So does exaggerated scale; the Toto Large lamp is blown up, jumbo, never-to-be-ignored, visually giant yet physically light, while Toto Small’s tidy and diminutive size is more than a bit charming. With Toto, Fabien Cappello has designed a joyful, covetable depiction of a lamp. Customers can choose their own combination for shade and base in both Toto Large and Medium variants. Toto Small is available in block colors only.
